Kinsta has the clearer advantage on published visit-overage cost. A traffic spike 20,000 visits over plan would produce a $40 overage on WP Engine’s shared plans at current rates versus $10 on a Kinsta visit-based plan. That does not automatically make Kinsta cheaper overall, but it is material for publishers, campaigns, ecommerce launches, and other sites with unpredictable traffic.

Kinsta’s bandwidth option is also useful for sites where origin bandwidth is a more meaningful constraint than visit counting.
